Battlefield 4 was shown in both the Microsoft and EA press conferences this year at E3. The next installment from DICE looks epic. They promised to show the importance of land, air, and naval battle when it comes to warfare. To prove their point, they are bringing us “Commander Mode”. This will allow gamers to control different aspects of the game. The main focus of the game seems to be making everything larger and more tactical. It really seems to want to expand on the ever-growing market for modern war shooters, giving gamers what they love about the series but expanding on it to make it fresh. It doesn’t hurt that the graphics also looked absolutely incredible.

Microsoft got some good news too as the Second Assault DLC will be coming out for Xbox One before any other system. This is not an exclusive, but even timed exclusives are still pretty beneficial for the companies that get them. The first DLC will be available on launch date. Probably the biggest part of the announcement is the inclusion of 64-person multiplayer. EA gave a presentation of this, showing how massive teams and their members have to work in different areas to take total control over the battlefield. There are still questions that remain about how it will work if players can’t match up with 63 other people. I am sure more information will come out as the release date nears.
We will be keeping you updated on news and you can look for Battlefield 4 on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One this fall.
