Are you ready to sail the Carribean? In Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag you can get your chest wet and hoist that pirate flag!
Imagine yourself as a pirate, what would be the one thing that you have to do or cannot be missed? Rum? Yeah, there’s that too but how about a good old treasure hunt?
At the start of this video Edward Kenway get’s his hands on a treasure map. Avoiding a confrontation with the battling Spanish and British forces and eluding a building storm system he heads for the island named Misteriosa. When he arrives at the location it appears this treasure is a blueprint for an upgrade of the Jackdaw, your ship. Ismail explains that the world is filled with life, both harmless and agressive creatures are around so you better watch your back. As Kenway travels back to the Jackdaw he comes across a viewpoint. These work just as before, revealing information on your map but they now also function as a fast-travel location.
Once back aboard the Jackdaw, Kenway and his crew are intercepted by an English frigate which is the perfect opportunity to admire the naval combat Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag has to offer. After the battle you’re presented with 3 options to choose from. You can recruit crew members, capture the ship and send it to the fleet or you can salvage for parts to repair the Jackdaw.
Now that Edward has the blueprint and the equipment needed for the upgrade he heads to a fishermen village close by. There he seeks out the harbormaster who will build that piece of hardware for you.
When Kenway continues his voyage to Havana he comes across a fort. He decides to take out it’s defenses using his newly upgraded mortars. Once that’s done they raid the fort and Edward makes short work of the commander.
Are you guys as excited about the game as I am? I’m already sharpening my cutlass and looking for my eyepatch as you read this.
