Do you remember how the crowd reacted to the pricing point of Sony‘s upcoming PS4 at E3? I certainly did, it had me on the edge of my seat while waiting to hear those glorious words from Sony CEO Andrew House;
“I’m very proud to announce that the Playstation 4 will be available for 399 dollars!”
This was a major slap in the face of Microsoft who priced their respective Xbox One at $499. While Microsoft pulled off a 180 regarding their draconic DRM policies they still make the Kinect mandatory with the purchase of the Xbox One.
Now, Inside Gaming Daily reported from a “well placed anonymous source” that Sony will go head to head with Microsoft in that price range as well. They’re thinking about bundling the PS4 together with the PS Vita for the price of $499! That such a bundle would come eventually isn’t really that big of a surprise. But noone expected it so soon as this “source” said they’d release this by the end of 2013.
We all know that you’re able to play your PS4 games on the Vita through Remote Play, this is only true when the developers programmed this function into their game. However, this Remote Play function could really revitalize the PS Vita which has been in a bit of a slump lately.
How do you feel about this “PS4 PS Vita bundle“? Does this benefit the PS4 in their ‘Battle for Console Supremacy”? Or do you believe the Kinect would prove more valuable than a PS Vita?
As always, we will keep you updated on this news when Sony officially confirms or denies this rumor.
